NetCOBOL™ for Windows V8.0 Adds Support for WOW64
Latest release of rock-solid compiler relied on by millions
Sunnyvale, October 26, 2005 - Fujitsu Software Corporation today announced the release of version 8 of its NetCOBOL for Windows product. The NetCOBOL compiler, used to create code that executes millions of business-critical applications each day, is being updated in the Windows environment with a number of detailed enhancements and tuning features, along with official support for executing applications on X64 chips (32-bit, x86, chips that have been extended to support some 64-bit addressing, such as AMD’s Opteron and Athlon, and Intel’s chips with EM64T – generally grouped using “X64”) using Microsoft’s WOW64 support for executing 32-bit applications.
